Why?: Well Caprice has been at the school nearly as long, and when she first got there I'd imagine she would have tried to find someone older who knew what was going on, even if they weren't much older. I can see Gabrielle being that person. They could have been friends for a long time. Next, Caprice's being openly gay probably got, and still gets her into a bit of trouble. Gabby seems like the shoulder to cry on type, and Caprice is always willing to help someone out, as long as it's not with anything horrid.
