Savannah giggled. She was currently sitting a a small group of girls that were talking about who the cutest guys at this school were. They were talking about some British guy, but Savannah had suddenly tuned out. She smiled and excused herself, hugging her jacket closer to her body, shielding herself against the harsh icy breeze that surrounded the whole of BB. She couldn't believe they were in the middle of a snow storm, it was simply unreal.
She walked, continuing on her train of thought.
She was thinking about her mother. She hadn't heard for her in over a week, and she was suddenly getting worried. They promised each other they would write each other at least once a week, just to let them both know that one another was okay.
She peered off into the distance, and before she knew it, she was suddenly near the waterfall caves. This was one of the most loved places that students loved to go, just to relax. The serene environment and the noise of the water crashing made it one of the best places to just think.
Savannah peered inside one of the caves, but found it occupied. She sighed and walked over the the smaller more humid cave. It got quite warm in them, due to the condensation and trapping on the warmer air.
She sighed a sigh of relief when she found it empty.
A small tear fell down her cheek. These were dark days for her mother and herself, and they needed to be careful. Maybe she would go to the Ministry and get a report on his where abouts. Everyone seemed to be able to be tracked by the ministry.
She laughed stupidly and wiped the tear away. Her mother was okay, and that was all the mattered.
She dug down deep into one of her pockets, pulling out the small white cylinder. A cigarette. Exactly what she needed to calm her nerves. And since she was alone...
She pulled out a lighter and held in close to the cigarette, lighting it up, allowing the smoke to fill her lungs. She knew this was bad for her, especially due to her fitness level but it was one of the things that helped keep her calm. She blew out the smoke and sighed, closing her eyes. The serenity that helped her relax was never there for long. She heard the footsteps of another student, or possibly professor and panicked, throwing the cigarette on the floor and covering it with her shoe. She cleared her throat, took a deep breath and closed her eyes. They hadn't seen the cigarette but she turned around and smiled, sitting down on one of the flattened rocks.
"Uhh, Bonjour. Désolé, vous m'avez surpris.." She smiled, taking a deep breath, trying to slow her heartbeat. It was trued, they had startled her, but it was okay, she should be leaving anyway. She got off the rock and began to walk away, letting them have their own piece and quiet.
