Running a hand through her hair, Pascaline walked around the grounds of the large wizarding school, bored out of her mind. She had finished all of her work, and had no classes for a few days. Taking a deep breath, she lost herself in thought. A few feet away from the blonde was the forest, one of the most beautiful places around. It was one of those places she would go to think, since rarely did one run into another human. Or any creature, for that matter. She hadn't had to deal with any other being so far, so she knew it was a good place to spend her time. Besides, it was a warm day, so she could spend a lot of time there without freezing to death.
Finding the main path of the forest, Pascaline began her walk around. The trees covered basically eveything, but there was still light. She loved the magic of the place, and she always would. Especially since she would go deep inside the forest with Phoenix all the time. They would explore and take paths that no one else knew about, as far as they knew. Even without him, Pascaline wanted to travel into the forest. She hadn't in quite a long time, and she really was missing it. Slowing her pace, she found a large rock. Smiling, she sat down on it, quickly leaning back. Staring up and the trees above her, she couldn't help but feel calm. "It's so beautiful here... she said lightly, thinking about whatever came to mind.

Caprice, currently in the form of a happy spaniel pup frolicked through the forest. She needed this escape given the way things had been lately. the awkwardness of the moment shared with one of her best friends, Adele, in Avenue De Magie. Caprice just needed to get away, and frankly one of the the easiest ways for her to do that was to abandon her form and just play like a dog, pretend to be a dog. Dogs didn't need to worry about any of the stuff that humans did. As far as Cappa knew dogs naturally came in one sexuality and sex wasn't an awkward thing for them, she wished the same could be said for the human race, but she knew that was nothing more then wishful thinking.
As the pup wound her way through the trees, she came upon a site she was happy to see. her smiling friend, Pascaline. The pup's tail started to wag back and forth happily but soon it would be gone, lost to the human body that she retook as she walked toward her friend. Her collar magically adjusting to her neck's new size as her tight white skinny jeans and comfortable sleeveless pink top departed from her body and were once again little more then clothing. Caprice approached her friend, and sat down next to her, speaking as she moved. Well hello there, gorgeous. she said in her Italian accent. partially genuinely flirting and partially joking around as friends did.

Lost in thoughts about practically everything, Pascaline didn't notice any sounds around her. Unless someone was right next to her, she wouldn't have heard them. The forest was always the best place to just sit around and be alone in, and Pascaline took ahold of that knowledge. She sighed again, watching a breeze hit the tops of the trees. The leaves fluttered around for a moment, then stopped as the breeze left. It was the littlest things that were the easiest to notice while in such a calm place. Wishing she had the ability to change forms, the blonde closed her eyes and thought of Phoenix. He had been missing for such a long time... It hurt her to think of what happened to him. Thomas was gone as well, and Eric wasn't taking that well at all. It seemed her family was a bit torn with everything that was happening around them.
Biting her lip, Pascaline tried to move her thoughts away from the negatives. Whenever she dwelled on everything from before for too long of a time, she either ended up depressed or crying her head off. Neither of which she enjoyed. Shaking her head slightly, she thought of her classes, all of which were going great. Hearing another's voice, she jumped, her eyes shooting open. Pascaline didn't expect that anyone would find her... But obviously she was wrong. Looking over, she smiled. It was Caprice, a fellow sixth year. Giggling as the sentence finally processed in her mind, she grinned, "Hey, beautiful." she responded, her heart rate still a bit fast. It was common for her to respond like that, especially with a few of her closer friends.

The girl's smile was radiant with joy as she set herself down beside Pascaline, hearing the lovely woman remark about her beauty. She hoped it was true in the other girl's mind. Her friend's opinions always mattered dearly to Caprice, but when a girl like Pascaline made a reference to her beauty it was a huge deal to her. Caprice had, not that she would say anything, to avoid potential awkwardness always fancied Pascaline intensely. And until recently, the other girl had been in a very serious relationship with a guy by the name of Phoenix. Caprice didn't know him well and his disappearance hadn't effected her seriously, beyond a great deal of sympathy for her friend, and the sorrow she felt at her upset.
Caprice knew that The other girl hadn't given up hope and she encouraged it, but at times she felt a cruel jealousy toward Phoenix that honestly made her hate herself. If Cappa regretted those feelings any more then she did she'd probably find herself apologizing to Pascaline for them without even having the sense or decency to explain the reasoning to her, although that would be mostly out of fear. So, what brings you out here? Everything okay, I mean...All things considered?S She asked pulling her friend into a hug that she she enjoyed perhaps a little too much.

Pascaline was quite happy that someone had found her in the forest. If Caprice hadn't have run into her, the girl would have spent the entire day just sitting alone without any comfort. And after some time, she would have just become depressed and sad. Plus Caprice was an amazing friend, who she loved spending time with. Really, she was quite pretty. Pascaline loved her hair and smile, something she notices the most about people. Keeping a smile on her face, Pascaline was glad someone she actually liked found her. She loved Caprice dearly, and always enjoyed being in her company. She was one of those people that didn't bring up Phoenix unless she knew something was wrong with Pascaline. Some girls would, and it would always ruin the blonde's day in a moment. Half the time, thinking about him made her go into a depressed state. But with Caprice around, she didn't ever feel as sad.
Running a hand through her short hair, Pascaline looked off to the rest of the forest. It was surprisingly calm, and she greatly enjoyed that. It always had been a great place to just go and relax at. Even with others, it was still easy to enjoy. Smiling ever-so-slightly, she nodded, "i just wanted to spend some time outdoors. I didn't have much work, so I figured it'd be fun." she wrapped one arm around Caprice in a friendly guesture, "Yeah, things are fine. I mean... As fine as they can be." placing her other arm on her lap, she bit her lip softly.

Caprice shook her head as one of her arms parted from the beautiful girl at her side and her eyes faced off into the distance. Honey, I know it's not easy for you, but I know kind of what you're going through. The girl started, She hadn't told Pascaline or pretty much anyone else bar Adele, who she feared she had lost, the reasoning behind her departure from Italy. When I left Italy life was good for me I was basically a princess. I was the popular girl back then... I had to go ages with no friends, none of what I grew up with. I didn't speak the language. The girl said. She wasn't trying to make this about her and she feared that Pascaline would misinterpret her intentions. CalCal I've never told you this but we left Italy 'cause my dad was on the run from the Italian Mafia. He used to be a member, but someone wanted him dead.
Caprice stayed silent for a few moments unsure about how Pascaline would react. But this isn't about me. The point is even though it doesn't seem okay, you'll be alright. One day I'm sure he'll come back, An amazing girl like you doesn't deserve to be alone, and I'm sure there's more justice in the world then that.

Biting her lower lip softly, Pascaline kept the smallest smile on her mouth. She placed her eyes on Caprice, feeling better with her around. It was nice to be able to talk to someone she liked so much, for once. She rarely talked about Phoenix and how she felt, since it was so huge, "You do?" she asked awkwardly. Caprice seemed pretty confident; she wasn't sure what could have happened. Squeezing Caprice's side softly, she smiled. If the girl wanted to tell her something, she would listen. It had to be something big, if Pascaline didn't know. She talked to Caprice enough that she knew some things. "I understand." she stated quietly. She knew Caprice wasn't trying to have a sob story, she was just sharing something. "I had a similar issue. Moving from America and everything." staying quiet, she listened with wide eyes. "Oh my god. Really? she asked out of surprised, "I'm so sorry..." she hugged Caprice tightly, still amazed.
She couldn't believe something like that had happened, but it made sense. "I know he will. They'll both come back." she nodded and hugged Caprice again, "Thank you so much, Caprice." she smiled softly, and shut up her for a moment. At least someone would saythat about her.

Caprice loved the closeness she shared with Pascaline. Since that ill-fated coffee at the ice creamery on Avenue De Magie she'd felt strained to maintain closeness like this with Adele, and so the only friend she could really depend on to listen to her as much and understand and trust her like this had become Pascaline. The more Caprice thought about it the more she had in common with Pascaline, neither girl was heterosexual, they'd both been through a lot. Both of them had been in positions needing to transition between cultures and languages, going from popular to unknown. They simply understood one-another better, at least logically they did.
What are friends for? Caprice retorted with a tender smile. She loved knowing that she was helping someone, making a difference. It made her feel better about herself. Despite her father's criminal dealings in the past he'd raised a daughter who savored trying to enrich everybody's lives and make things better, selflessly, and that too made her proud. As much as she loved her father, she was glad to have a stronger moral compass then he did. So, beautiful, is there anything I can do to distract you, or make you feel better? Could you use a hand with homework or anything? I mean you've got enough on your mind. the offer was genuine. Caprice knew her friend was struggling enough with her personal life and school was probably just another nail in the coffin/

If Caprice hadn't been around for her, than Pascaline would have probably had it a lot worse. Without Phoenix around, she felt safe. And when he left, she didn't know what to do. Now she had Caprice as a safety net, who saved her when she was about to fall. And she would do everything she could to help Caprice in return. They were there for one another through a lot of things. And now she was being entrusted with such a huge secret... Pascaline couldn't believe it. At least they were close enough to share secrets like that. They had a lot more in common than she would ever assume. That's really why they got along so well. Pascaline knew that, even if Phoenix was still around, they'd be this close. Best friends, really.
"Everything." she grinned stupidly. That was the type of answer she loved to give. Especially to Caprice, who would like it as well. And now that she knew more about the other girl... Pascaline couldn't believe she turned out how she did. But she liked it, a lot. Smiling softly, she shook her head, "Well... I am a bit stuck with transfiguration. I assume you're good with that class?" even though she felt a bit like she was taking advantage of her friend, she still needed the help. Phoenix used to help her... But he couldn't now that he was gone. Besides, Caprice was an animagus. So she should be good at transforming things. At least, she hoped she was. Resting her head on Caprice's shoulder, she smiled. Only Caprice would be such a great friend to her. She never had any other requests for help, at least, not like this.

The goofy look upon her best friend's face bought a much wider smile to Caprice's own. She really loved to make her friends happy, and she always thought reactions such as this were adorable. Caprice loved being around people such as Pascaline, it was a far cry from the people she'd grown up around. Some of them had almost feared they had to be her friends, others had simply used her for her money. But Pascaline actually cared about her, listened to her and valued her, that was what she needed in a friendship, hell that was what she needed in any kind of relationship, really.
Well actually, and this may shock you. Transfigurations happens to be my best subject, and I love it, so I'd be happy to help you CalCal. She said this entire sentence in a tone of mock matter-of-factliness. She was quite happy to help her friend out though, it was honestly her best, and favorite subject. It had been her escape, and her passion for so long, and helping a friend with it was just another way for transfigurations to make her feel great.

Pascaline hadn't smiled so idiotically in ages. Only a few people could ever get her to grin like a complete doofus. And it seemed like Caprice was one of those people. After Phoenix left, she rarely grinned like that, so this was an improvement. Being with Caprice made her feel better than she had in a while. It was just like that with friends. Truthfully, Pascaline felt closer to Caprice than she had to anyone in a long time. Even with the new knowledge of Caprice's past, she still loved the girl. It didn't bother her at all. Hugging the girl again, Pascaline felt better. This was what she needed, someone like Caprice.
"Really? That's amazing." she grinned. It would be amazing to have help. Especially from Caprice. She loved the other girl so much. Laughing every so lightly, she looked over, "It's a tough subject. Why are you so good at it?" she asked. Pascaline hated transforming things. She was always afraid of messing up badly, and hurting the creature. It wasn't cool. Maybe, with Caprice's help, the subject would become one of her favorites. It used to be up high when she had Phoenix's help. "I think I may be able to pass the class with your help!"
