The idea that he was once that helpless and unable to to resist being blasted to smithereens by lightning terrifies him and reliving it is horrible to him. Very few things make Chromatique cry, but this is one of them.
----»» PATRONUS: Scottish Deerhound. When Chroma was found in the storm as a baby it was his future adoptive family's dog that originally found him, and bought him back to them. That dog was a Scottish Deerhound, And Chroma now loves them dearly. He also reveres them for their strength and determination.

When you can change aspects of your appearance at a thought it's hard for you to find a time where you're not pleased with it, plus, as much as he keeps it to himself when he can, Chromatique is as arrogant as you can get while still being a nice guy. In short he feels that he's very attractive. Chroma does dislike certain aspects of his appearance that he can't influence without hard work, for example he wishes he had more defined abs, or to get rid of his birth mark. ( his is scar-like marks across the chest, not that he knows it's a birth mark). All in all Chroma sees himself as a really attractive guy, the type that he, himself would definitely go for.

----»» FULL HISTORY: Chroma was born to a muggle mother and a pureblood father who left before he was born without telling his partner at the time anything about magic. Things were fairly normal for the first few days of baby Chroma's life, but not long after he was cleared to leave the hospital, Chroma's metamorphic nature showed through and his mother, in an act of post-natal depression, and fear abandoned him in an empty field on a stormy night. A few hours later, the nearly dead baby was rescued by a squib woman's pet deer hound, Titan (who would later father their current pet). The woman took the baby home to her pure-blood husband and they kept the child, naming him Chromatique Orage, which they elaborated to mean something along the lines of “Color in the storm” for his changing hair color and the circumstances in which they found him.
So, the next eleven years of Chroma's life weren't amazingly eventful. He was raised in a Muggle community in a household where most things were done by magic, despite his mother's inability to use spells to the family's advantage. A couple of years after he was born his adoptive sister came along. Chroma loved his little sister dearly, but as he started to grow up getting less attention then her he got jealous. He started to learn music, dance, acting anything artistic that could garner him the attention of his parents who he didn't understand needed to spend more time with the younger baby to cater for her own needs. This set Chroma up as an attention seeking, somewhat egotistical 'future star'.
Chromatique's Beaubaxtons years have been fairly kind to him. He's had lovers of both genders and been a generally popular guy. With a lot of friends and a known flair for transfigurations. Chromatique has made it his business to stand out in every way possible. And as such has really tried to grab the spotlight with performing art's classes, but he's also been rebellious, and earned himself a negative reputation amongst the staff, disqualifying him from any student leadership positions he'd ever tried to earn. This is Chroma's last year at the school, and after that his plan is to seek employment within a magical performance troupe of some kind.
